KSM Awka Sub-Council Engages in Quarterly Health Exercise

Five months after its maiden health walk exercise, the Knights of St Mulumba (KSM) Nigeria, Awka Sub-Council alongside their ladies, on Saturday, March 30, 2019, held her 2nd ‘Walk For Life’ Activity.

The health exercise tagged, “2019 Pro-Life Activity”, which was held at St Patrick’s Catholic Cathedral, Awka, Anambra State, saw the knights and the ladies engage in various forms of exercise such as jogging, road walk, stretch out, and the likes, for over one hour round the giant St Patrick’s Cathedral premises.

Speaking to Fides, the Sub-Council Physician, Bro James Eze, KSM, said the health programme which was part of the annual programme of KSM Nigeria, was to ensure healthy life and graceful ageing of her members.

Bro. Eze, KSM, who is the CEO of Joez Pharmaceutical Ltd, noted that the exercise among their other health activities, were necessary for their good health and fitness for proper discharge of their duties as knights and ladies of the Church.

According to the sub-council physician, though the knights do not carry guns, but swords, they were expected to be active and healthy as soldiers of the Church, in defense of the faith. Eze added that regular exercise was necessary for healthy living of every individual.

Also speaking, the Worthy PRO, KSM, Awka Sub-Council, Bro Chris Obiora Okafor, KSM, described the Walk For Life as a welcome development. He expressed his delight that the exercise would promote good health among the knights and ladies of KSM Nigeria.
