The State Coordinator NYSC Abia Mr Jingi Denis on Wednesday 13 April 2022 hosted a team of NYSC Human Resource Managers who came for the 2022 Junior Staff Committee Meeting.
The JSC meeting which held at the Conference Hall of the NYSC Abia State Secretariat had participants drawn from the NYSC Directorate Headquarters Abuja, the South East Area Office Enugu and the five Eastern State Secretariats of the scheme.
Welcoming the Human Resource Managers to the Secretariat, the Coordinator enjoined them feel at home and enjoy the good environment of the state.
In another development, the State Coordinator NYSC Abia, Mr Jingi Denis, has flagged off the Job Awareness Creation programme for the 2021 batch A stream 2 passing out corps members. The JAC programme which is one of the winding up and passing out programmes is aimed at equiping the graduating corps members on job opportunities and ways of packaging their CVs for post service job opportunities.
Flagging off the JAC programme at the Umuahia North LGA Council Hall on Wednesday, Mr Denis enjoined the corps members to pay rapt attention to the facilitator, even as he told them to ensure they submit their CVs to the NYSC job portal, that will be given to them in the course of the programme.
Addressing the corps members, the resource person from Novelle Center Mr Edwin Amah said that the few available job offers in the labour market are only for the prepared candidates, as such the corps members need to package themselves very well with neccessary employability skills that employers look out for during recruitment process.
In her remarks the Head Skills Acquisition and Entreprenueship Development Branch NYSC Abia, Mrs Chidimma Osuagwu, enlightened the corps members on the NYSC job portal and charged them to ensure they send their CVs to the portal.
