Ifeoma Ezenyilimba of Fides Bags Humanitarian Service Award

The resourceful reporter and advert manager of Fides Communications, Nodu-Okpuno, Awka South L.G.A, Anambra State, Ifeoma Ezenyilimba, on August 4, 2018, added a Distinguished Humanitarian Service Award to her many other honours.

The recognition and honour with humanitarian service award which was conferred on Ifeoma Ezenyilimba by the Catholic Youth Organisation of Nigeria (CYON), Umunze Deanery, Awka Catholic Diocese on the occasion of the CYON’s Deanery Day Celebration at St Jude’s Catholic Church, Umuchukwu, Orumba South L.G.A, Anambra State, was in recognition of her selfless services to the Church and the society.

Presenting the award plaque and the certificate to Ezenyilimba, the Dean of Umunze Catholic Deanery, Rev. Fr. Basil Ezekeli, congratulated her for the honour, and urged the awardee not to relent in her notable service to the Church, humanity and the society.

Speaking shortly after she was honoured with the recognition, Ifeoma Ezenyilimba, thanked God and the Catholic Laity Council of Nigeria (CYON), Umunze Deanery for considering her worthy of the honour. She prayed that the honour inspires her to greater services to God and humanity. This was even as she prayed God for the greater growth of CYON Umunze Deanery and the Church.

Fides management and staff through the congratulatory message sent to Ifeoma Ezenyilimba, and signed by the Director of Fides Communications, Rev. Fr. Martin Anusi, prayed that the award would inspire her to greater services to God and humanity. Fides Family through the message, prayed God to, continuously bless and lead Ifeoma Ezenyilimba to greater heights and endeavours.

Similarly, a Non-Governmental Organisation known as Association for Universal Moral Education Nigeria (AUMEN), through the goodwill message sent to her National Assistant Secretary, Ifeoma Ezenyilimba, congratulated the awardee on the honour, saying it was quite deserving.

AUMEN through the message which was signed by the National Coordinator, Sr. Dr. Mary Jude-Therese Nwodo, IHM, extolled Ezenyilimba for her disposition to leadership, which she saw as a call to service. The group prayed the honour would inspire the awardee for more committed services for a better society, in line with the NGO’s mission of gardening the mind for a better society.

A Noble Forum known as Excellent Ladies Forum (ELF) International, through the congratulatory message sent to Ifeoma Ezenyilimba, who is the ELF Secretary, congratulated the awardee for the honour, saying that it was very deserving.

ELF International through the message that was signed by the founder and president, Queen Lady Ngozi Ekwunife (JP), said the honour was ad rem, adding that Ezenyilimba had over the years, and still counting, distinguished herself in hardwork, responsible leadership and selfless service to humanity.

On his part, the immediate past president of Catholic Laity Council of Nigeria, Awka Diocese (CLCNAD) and a former president of CYON, Awka Diocese, Comrade Emma Ezeokafor, in his warmest goodwill message, congratulated Ifeoma ving honour. Ezenyilimba for her distinguished and well-deserving honour.

According to Ezeokafor, who is an interim president of Catholic Men Organisation of Nigeria (C.M.O), Awka Diocese and the APGA candidate for Aguata II Constituency Election, 2019, Ezenyilimba had been consistent in her selfless services and support to the church and humanity. He described Ifeoma Ezenyilimba as a great asset to the Church and the entire society, and prayed God to bless her with a resounding successful future.

The Catholic Laity Council of Nigeria, Awka Diocese (CLCNAD) through her congratulatory message that was signed by the President, Hon Joseph Igwebuike; the Secretary, Comrade Emmanuel Duezeh, Jnr and the Chief Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Dr. Michael Muonwe, congratulated Ifeoma Ezenyilimba for the distinguished award.

According to the Council, the honour was in celebration of Ezenyilimba’s indelible achievements and contributions to the growth and development of the Church and humanity.
Ifeoma Ezenyilimba in addition to the various positions she held in the society, has served the Church in many capacities. Among the positions she held in the church included, the immediate past Director of Socials I of CLCNAD for three years and three months; a former National Assistant Secretary of CYON for three years, an Ex-Officio of the National CYON for three years; a former Director of Sports II of CYON, Awka Diocese for three years and Vice President of CYON, St Michael’s Parish, Umueze-Uga, Aguata L.G.A, Anambra State for eight years.

In his address of welcome to mark the event which also featured singing competition, send off of former CYON executive of the deanery and cultural dance, the president, CYON, Umunze Deanery, Comrade Chinedu Hygers Okem, solicited for donations and supports towards the CYON’s needs of Computer. Skill Acquisition Centre and evangelical bus projects. According to the president, the skill acquisition project was to equip the youths with skills so as to make them self-reliant and responsible.
