The event which was held at Ichida Civic Centre, started with a town hall meeting where great sons and daughters of Ichida gathered to reflect on the journey so far as a community and discuss better ways to make progress with the new administration.

When a similar crisis scenario played out again in the community in 2006, he was equally called upon to help weather the storm.

Again, in 2017 when crisis erupted and about four villages threatened to pull out from the community, Chief Coleman Uba was again called upon to help make peace, which he successfully did and restored unity in the community.

“So because of the amount of work still facing us as a community, I decided to officially contest for this election, so as to enable me complete the good work I have started, and as you can see, the people appreciated all my efforts so far in office by voting me in again” Chief Uba said.

On his future plans for the community as the President General, Chief Coleman Uba listed among others, computerised registration and documentation of every Ichida indigene, completely administering peace between the community and the aggrieved villages, improving the educational standard of the community secondary school and improving the security system of the community.
