Ibida Awards Scholarship to Indigent Students

The member representing Njikoka II State Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon (Sir.) Pete Ibida, has awarded scholarship to indigent students of Secondary Schools in Umuowelle.

The benefitting Secondary Schools are as follows: Community Secondary School Nimo; Nnamdi Azikiwe Secondary School, Abagana and Community Secondary School, Abba.

Speaking while disbursing the scholarship fund, Ibida said that education remained a veritable instrument for the moulding of the destiny of every child in character and in learning and vowed to sustain his periodic scholarship scheme for schools in his constituency.

The Chairman, House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs charged the students to be studious, assiduous and tenacious in their studies, describing education as sine quo non to individual success.

The lawmaker admonished them to always uphold the values and virtues of their schools as responsible students.

Highlight was the disbursement of the periodic scholarship fund for the indigent students of the schools
