A House of Assembly aspirant for Onitsha South 1 State Constituency, Comrade Osita Ozalagba, says he will always identify with the national chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Sir Victor Oye, because of the same vision he shares with Oye.
Speaking to Fides last Tuesday ahead of the Supreme Court Judgement on APGA leadership which took place last Friday, Ozalagba who is the Anambra State Youth Leader, said he identified with Oye because of the need to take APGA to the highest possible level devoid of distractions.
‘As a true party man, I want to build a synergy with the party hierarchy in order to strengthen our party,’ Ozalagba said.
Victor Oye has been embroiled in a leadership tussle with Chief Martin Agbaso who after losing in the lower courts took the matter to the apex court, which decision was taken before press time.
But Azalagba told Fides that he was optimistic of Oye triumphing, noting that such would pave way for accelerated planning of the 2019 General Elections by the party.
‘Oye needs no distraction in running the affairs of the party and that is what all these court cases are doing. The victory of Oye will therefore put an end to all that and pave way for the implementation of the great manifestos of our party. I’m confident that our chairman will win,’ Ozalagba stated.
He urged his constituents in Onitsha South 1 to continue supporting him so that he would eventually give them the kind of representation they craved by working in synergy with Gov Willie Obiano and Sir Nobert Obi, state chairman of APGA, to achieve the dreams of the founders of APGA.
