The Managing Director and Chief Superintendent of Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra State, OCHA, Brigade, Comrade Celestine Anere, says he owes his managerial prowess, practical leadership and administrative qualities, to the immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Ozonkpu (Dr) Victor Ike Oye.
Comrade Anere who stated this in Awka while speaking on the achievements of the former APGA supremo, noted that he took his time to understudy Ozonkpu Oye whom he described as a pragmatic leader and a father figure, adding that he had continued to follow his footsteps and guidance.
‘I owe my success story to Ozonkpu Oye. Everything I know and do today managerially and administratively, I learnt from the former APGA helmsman. You can see his achievements littered everywhere. Under his watch APGA owned a permanent Secretariat in Abuja and also a gigantic building here in Awka; APGA Regional Secretariat. He handed millions of Naira to his successor. He gave APGA a national look. Won elections in many states of the federation.
The OCHA Brigade boss, while eulogizing Oye, commended the Governor of Anambra State and the National Leader of the party, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, for what he said the Anambra State number one citizen was doing in the state, saying that he had impacted greatly on Ndi Anambra, especially the youth and women.
‘I am happy with what is going on in Anambra State. Governor Soludo’s developmental strides cannot be overemphasized. It is as clear as the day. He is touching lives positively. Our roads are wearing a new look. Massive road construction is ongoing in all the nooks and crannies of the state.
Comrade Anere thanked the Governor for the opportunity given to him to serve Ndi Anambra State and contribute meaningfully towards the uplift of the state, noting that in no distant time the state would be free from miscreants and lawlessness.
‘We are working round the clock to ensure that the state is sanitized. We will get rid of agberos within a short period of time. We will not relent. We are equally not resting on our oars. Anambra State must be free from touts and touting activities. Our duty is to keep the state clean and healthy and we are doing exactly that,’ Anere concluded.
