Group Honours, Eulogises Obi in New Book

A team of prolific journalists, including Prof. Stella Okunna, Valentine Obienyem, Esin Osuji and Daniel Onwukwe, have launched a compendium in honour of the presidential candidate of Labour Party, LP, Mr Peter Obi, entitled, “Peter Obi: Many Voices, One Perspective”. The event, which attracted dignitaries from all walks of life, was held at Finotel Classique Hotels, Awka, May 12.

In his opening remarks, the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Achebe, described Obi as a man of destiny. He said the presidential candidate was not new to the situation of election mandate recovery and prayed for divine intervention in the case.

Supporting him, Peter Obi expressed optimism that the tribunal would deliver the right judgement, reiterating his resolve to recover the stolen mandate at the just concluded 2023 general elections.

‘I will respect the decisions of the court and I am positive that I will be the president of this great nation, Nigeria,’ Obi assured.

The Harvard alumnus thanked the team of authors and everyone who honoured the event to eulogise his person and urged patriotic Nigerians to remain calm and positive for a New Nigeria.

On a similar note, Sen Víctor Umeh described Obi as a person of interest. He hailed the team of authors for what he described as their enormous work, further describing it as a legendary act. He urged all to emulate the principled lifestyle of Obi.

Also speaking on the occasion, the chief book presenter, Chief Patrick Adilo, called on fellow Obidients (as Obi’s followers are known) to stand strong and true to the cause for what he termed a ”POssible New Nigeria”.

Referring to Obi as a bulldozer, he emphasized that Obi was on course to transforming the narratives of the nation.

‘Obi is going to change the total trajectory of the country. The mandate stolen will definitely be recovered for the betterment of the nation,’ Adilo assured.

For her part, the Chief Editor of the book and Professor of Mass Communication, Prof Stella Okunna, described Obi as a man of integrity, wisdom and ample experience who would lead the nation to a prosperous future.

‘Mr Peter Obi is a rare breed of patriotic leaders who will transform the nation,’ Okunna maintained.
