Fr. Ezeobi Appreciates God for Saving him from Ghastly Motor Accident

By Angel Ejiamah

It was a worship of thanksgiving at Annunciation Parish Awka, Awka South LGA of Anambra State on Sunday, September 2, 2018 as Catholic Faithful, friends and wellwishers joined Rev. Fr. Henry Ezeobi (Mayor, as he was fondly called) to Honour and appreciate God for His protection and for saving him from ghastly motor accident.

In his homily, Fr. Ezeobi gave an insight on who God is and tasked the faithful to develop greater respect for God who holds everyone’s life and fate. He enjoined Christians to profess Christ in their daily lives and living lives filled with love and forgiveness.

Speaking to Fides, Fr. Ezeobi, said it was a terrible accident. He noted that it was like a dream when he came out of his car unhurt. People were surprised to see him alive and unhurt after such a terrible experience. He was bewildered by the awesomeness of God who wrought such a great miracle. The said ghastly accident took place on April 22, 2017 along Umuawulu Awgbu Road. According to him, he was trying to avoid hitting a man and his family, who perhaps bought a new car and was still learning how to drive.

Fr. Ezeobi, who was visibly overjoyed, appreciated God for saving him and for His abundant blessings in his apostolate so far. He thanked his family members, parishioners, Friends from Sokoto, Awgbu,Igboukwu, Uga, Nanka, for their love and good will. Among the dignitaries was Hon. Romy Obi, representing Orumber North in Anambra State House of Assembly.
