Fides’ new intakes, Alexandar Adejoh and Precious Ukeje, have been rewarded by the Fides Management following their emergence as best reporters for the month of January, 2020.
Their joint report on the traffic congestion at Eke Awka Market was adjudged by the Fides Editor-in-Chief, Mr Jude Atupulazi, as the best report for the month of January.
Atupulazi announced this at the Fides’ News and Editorial meeting held at Fidesplex last Monday, February 10. The winning story was published in the Fides Newspaper of January 26-February 1, 2020.
Mr Atupulazi commended Adejoh and Ukeje for what he described as their impressive hard work and readiness to learn, and urged them to sustain the tempo.
Presenting the cash gift to the winners, the Director, Fides Media Ltd, Rev Fr Martin Anusi, extolled them for having distinguished themselves in such reporting abilities within a short while. He urged them to continue working hard.
One of the winners, Mr Adejoh, thanked Fides Management for the privilege of the award, saying that he did not consider himself worthy of the award because of the fact that he was a new staff. He further thanked the Editor-in-Chief for what he termed his love and guidance towards him, noting that the award was a morale booster to him.
For his part, Mr Ukeje appreciated the Fides Director, Rev Fr Anusi; the Editor-in-Chief, Mr Atupulazi, and the entire members of Fides staff for what he described as the special love that existed in Fides. Mr Ukeje described Atupulazi as one who was thorough in his editorial duties.
The duo joined Fides barely a month ago.
