My love for anything sweet with dark brown colour gave rise to one of my nicknames “chomy choco” (if you know you know).
Still on my birth month cake recipe, this week, I will be teaching you how to bake chocolate cake.
Chocolate cake is a cake flavored with melted chocolate, cocoa powder or both. It is mainly used as dessert.
Butter – 500grams
Sugar – 350grams
Cocoa powder – ½ cup
Eggs – 8 large eggs
Flour – 500grms
Baking soda – 1 tablespoon
Baking powder – ½ tablespoon
Butter milk – 125grams

BEFORE YOU START BAKING
Make sure that all the utensils and appliances you will use for the cake are clean and dry.
Check, check and check that you have all the ingredients you will need to bake the cake.
Make sure fides kitchen paper for the chocolate cake recipe is close by.
Everything ready? Let’s go!
In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine flour, cocoa powder and baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture alternatively with milk, beating until smooth after each addition.
Pour batter into a greased and floured pan, bake at 350°C until cake 30-45min or until cake tests done.
