No fewer than fifty winners have emerged and rewarded with the sum of N500, 000 and N150,000 respectively in Anambra state at the on-going Fidelity Bank Plc “Get-Alert-In-Millions” (GAIM) promotion across the state as the Season Three of the programme kicks off nationwide.
Among the beneficiaries were eight customers of the bank rewarded with cheques at public show organised by its Onitsha regional office at Nkpor New Parts Market including two teenagers, Master Kamsiyochukwu Ofoegbu, a-9-year-old primary 5 school boy; and Miss Julian Maduafor, a Junior Secondary School student aged 12, rewarded with N150, 000 each.
Others were a primary school teacher at Community Primary school Mmiata Anam in Anambra West LGA, Mr Lawrence Okeji; and traders and students namely, Mrs Nkechi Onwuka; Chijioke Udaba; Mr Kenneth Emordi; Francis Okoye; and Kenneth Obi rewarded with a cheque of N500, 000 each.
According to Onitsha Regional Head of Fidelity Bank, Mr Chiwetalu Nwatu, N700million was set aside by the bank for the programme nationwide, but winners were computer-generated through random selection from among old and new account holders who maintain no less than twenty thousand Naira or even less in their balances over a period of time.
Nwatu said that for one to participate in the promotion, he/she must maintain Fidelity Personal Savings Scheme(FPSS) which is open to all or the Sweeta Account for students and children below eighteen years to win N500,000 and N150,000 respectively.
In a separate interview, some of the beneficiaries of the promo, Master Kamsiyochukwu Ofoegbu, Mr Lawrence Okeji and Mrs Nkechi Onwuka, while thanking God and the Fidelity bank, urged other banks to emulate the rewarding system.
