FCE (T) Umunze Gets JAMB CBT Centre Approval

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Thursday, March 7, 2019 approved the Federal College of Education (Technical), Umunze, Anambra State as a Computer Based Test (CBT) Centre for the University Matriculation Examination (UME).

JAMB gave the approval after inspecting the exam facilities at the new CBT centre located at the Main Campus of the College.

The JAMB officials at the inspection exercise, expressed their satisfaction with the well-equipped centre, saying that the College has the needed facilities, and approved FCE (T), Umunze as one of the centres nationwide for CBT test.

Receiving the JAMB officials, the provost, Federal College of Education (Technical), Umunze, Dr. Tessy Okoli, expressed the delight over the approval which she described as a welcome development.

Pointing out that the approval was a plus for the College, the provost said her administration would not relent in providing state-of-the-art facilities that befit modern tertiary institution. She promised that the College would continue to expand the CBT facilities to enable the institution become an accredited centre for other professional examinations like the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), among others.

As the College awaits to receive the first batch of her students for the 2019 University Matriculation Examination CBT test, Dr. Okoli noted that the synergy with JAMB was expected to boost the College’s internally generated revenue as well as make the College an institution of first choice among students, who seek admission into tertiary institutions
