…Fr Anagboso Takes over from Fr Anusi
Outgoing Director of Fides Media, the Social Communications Directorate of the Catholic Diocese of Awka, Rev. Fr. Dr. Martin Añusi, has handed over to the new Director, Rev. Fr. Robert Anagboso.
Fr. Añusi, who spoke during the hand-over ceremony/General Meeting of Fides Media, last Monday, said that having completed his seventh year as Director, he was handing over to Fr Anagboso to continue taking Fides to greater heights, reports Alexander Johnson Adejoh.
The erstwhile Director of Fides Media charged the incoming Director to continue the legacy of visionary leadership and creation of enabling business environment in the company.
Añusi, who had successfully piloted the affairs of Fides Media, a hub for communication experts, thanked God for a successful stay in Fides Media, noting that Fides had transformed from a humble beginning to a world-class company with unrivalled and award-winning staff members that had dictated the pace for competitors.
At the event which turned out very emotional, as staff members were seen crying, Fr Añusi was lauded for his futuristic and ground-breaking policies, as well as managerial nous.
His administrative prowess, which made a remarkable impact in the world of communication, home and abroad; with the evolution of Digital Communications, as well as improved infrastructural development, helped to place Fides on the world map as an attractive business destination, with enough economic potentials.
The Agulu born priest said the efforts of Most. Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor would not go unrecognised, having paved the way for major initiatives to thrive, thereby enhancing business, professionalism and advanced economy.
In his speech, the incoming Director, Fr Anagboso, who hails from Nri in Anaocha LGA, extolled the qualities of his predecessor and promised to keep the flag flying.
The Fides members of staff, through the Editor-in-Chief, also pledged to cooperate with Fr Anagboso in order to not only sustain the strides of Fr Anusi, but to achieve more.
In his vote of thanks, the incoming Fides Deputy Director II, Rev Fr Constantine Okoli, from Ndiukwuenu in Orumba North LGA, thanked the Management and staff of Fides Media for their warm reception and prayed that the legacies of the outgoing Management led by Fr Anusi would be sustained.
The event also featured the formal send off of Seminarian Sixtus Okolo, and welcoming of the new seminarian, Valerian Ejiofor.
Present at the event were the outgoing Director of Fides Media, Fr Anusi; Fr Anagboso, New Fides Director; Fr Pio-Anthony Okafor, Fides Deputy Director I; Fr Constantine Okoli, Fides Deputy Director II; Mr Jude Atupulazi, Editor-in-Chief, Fides Newspaper, among others.
Fr Anusi and Fr Anagboso are swapping positions. While Fr Anagboso will be leaving St Michael’s Parish, Neni, where he was the Parish Priest, to Fides as the new Director, Fr Anusi will be replacing the former as the Parish Priest of St Michael’s Parish, after a successful seven-year stint as Fides Director. It will be the first time Fr Anusi will operate in a parish.
