Engr Okafor Fetes Governor’s Aides from Aguata

A frontline House of Representatives aspirant for Aguata Federal Constituency, Engr Dom Okafor, KSM, on Sunday, 12 August, hosted all Governor Willie Obiano’s appointees from Aguata Local Government Area.

At the well attended familiarization dinner, he unveiled his blueprint for the people of his constituency should he win the election to represent them.

Engr Dom Okafor who was elated at the turn out of the governor’s aides, reeled out his blueprint as: sponsorship of legislative bills that will impact positively and create wealth and opportunities for the people; using his wide network to ensure that all basic and quality infrastructures are brought to Aguata Federal Constituency, not only from local, state or Federal Government, but also from international communities; provision for rural women of basic empowerment tools and logistics to expand their businesses and improve the level and quality of lives of their families; using his wide and leadership experience to mentor the youth to become not only responsible and useful to themselves and the wider society, but also to provide them all the necessary tools and ingredients to become wealth creators and stable family people.

Others include consistently holding Town Hall Meetings; opening up of Communication/Business/Liaison Centres across the local governments and communities, as well as providing a place where IT students can register and be connected with appropriate places to undergo their ITs.

At the event, Engr Dom Okafor showed a documentary of the NEEDS assessment he commissioned in the entire 20 wards of Aguata LG where the people, by themselves articulated their most pressing needs and expectations.

In their various comments the aides praised Engr Dom Okafor for organizing the dinner which, they said, had made some of them to meet each other for the first time since after their appointments.

The chairman of APGA in Aguata Local Government, Chief O.C.J. Ezechukwu, hailed Engr Okafor for organizing the dinner, saying that it had created an opportunity to meet and come to know most of the appointees for the first time.

He advised them to always visit their various wards and mobilise them, as according to him, the elections were around the corner.

In her own response Prof Mrs Uba Nwuba lent her total support to Engr Okafor for what he articulated for the people and praised his innovation in organizing the event.
Many others also spoke in appreciation for Engr Okafor’s aspiration and noted that it was such people they needed at the Green Chambers to represent the people.

Engr Okafor also used the event to appreciate Gov Willie Obiano for the N20 Million Do-it-yourself Community projects he approved for the 178 Communities in Anambra State, describing it as a noble innovation.

Engr Dom Okafor praised the governor for funding the ”Aides Worthy for Service” which necessitated their appointments.
