A frontline House of Representatives aspirant for Aguata Federal Constituency, Rtn Engr Dom Okafor, KSM, has formally declared his aspiration to the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA. Okafor, CEO of Jocaro Nig Limited, made this declaration during his visit to the State Working Committee of APGA at the party’s state secretariat in Awka, August 24.

Engr Okafor who donated a 30 KVA generator to the state party secretariat, appreciated the dedication of the state working committee and their commitment to the party, noting that it helped in ensuring the overwhelming victory of the governor in the last guber election.

He said his background as a Rotarian had moulded him into the man he had become, as well as knowing what it meant to serve others. This, he noted, was what motivated him to contest for the Federal House under APGA, a party he described as a brand.

‘I’m willing to use my network to expand all over if given the opportunity to fly the party’s flag,’ Engr Okafor who supported the party with cash donation and other gift items assured.

The declaration later turned into an endorsement of sorts by those present. He said that having suffered and invested heavily for the growth of APGA in the area, what he demanded now from the party was for it to support Okafor.

‘I have suffered tremendously for the growth of APGA in Anambra, I have invested heavily financially, I have sponsored many candidates who won elections, including the current members of Anambra House of Assembly for Aguata 1 & 2 Constituencies. I have been kidnapped, paid out millions in ransom, but have not benefitted anything from APGA. Not that I wanted anything from them; but now, I demand one thing from APGA: Support Engr Dom Okafor to emerge APGA candidate,’ he said, noting that it would make him happy.
