The member representing Anambra East Constituency at Anambra the State House of Assembly, Chief Obinna Emeneka, has presented a brand new Pilot Touring Jeep to one of his constituents, Chief Onyeachonam Ofomba, for his support to development of the constituency and Anambra State Government.

Chief Emeneka made the presentation during a town hall meeting with the members of Nando Ward Three held at Nando Civic Centre.

Speaking while presenting the car keys and documents to the beneficiary, Chief Emeneka explained that the gesture was to appreciate Chief Ofomba for his contributions to the All Progressives Grand Alliance, which, he said, had recorded giant strides in the state as well as to Anambra East Constituency.

The lawmaker who also used the town hall meeting to unveil his blue print for his constituency for the year 2020, assured that in no distant time thousands of his constituents would be trained in various vocations of their choice after which they would be empowered to do their own businesses and be able to empower others.

Emeneka, who said it was in line with his foundation’s design to help the needy, announced that the 2020 phase of his medical outreach for his constituency would start in Easter in collaboration with tertiary institutions to complement the efforts of the Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme.

He said his scholarship programme for the less privileged but brilliant students of his constituency would follow suit.

In an interview, Chief Ofomba, who received the brand new jeep from Chief Emeneka, thanked him for his magnanimity, describing him as the best thing that had happened to Anambra East Constituency. He assured him of his continued supportive for the Obiano Administration and the development of the constituency.

For his part, the chairman, Nando Development Union Caretaker Committee, Sir Anthony Mary Amaali, expressed delight about the benevolence of Honourable Emeneka to Chief Ofomba, noting that the lawmaker had empowered many supporters of the Obiano Administration and the down trodden in the constituency.

He commended Governor Willie Obiano Administration for bringing development to the hinterlands through the Community Choose-Your-Project Initiative. He said his community had completed the third phase of the project which gave it a face lift.

A community Leader, Chief Ifeanyi Oguejiofor, who said that Chief Emeneka had touched lives; especially the down trodden, through free medicare, scholarship award and economic empowerment, called on political office holders to emulate his exemplary leadership so that posterity would be kind to them.
