In her continued demonstration of her mission statement of touching lives, the Excellent Ladies of Valour and Steel (ELOVAS) Foundation International of Awka Zone 2, and that of Nnewi Zone, both in Anambra State, recently made charity visits to some rehabilitation homes in celebration of the 2019 World Food Day and Christmas Celebrations.
While the ELOVAS Foundation of Awka Zone 2 visited the Psychiatric Hospital, Nawfia, Njikoka LGA, Anambra State, on November 23, her counterpart in Nnewi Zone visited the Rehabilitation Centre for the Disabled, Old and Tramps (RECDOT), Ozubulu, Ekwusigo, LGA, Anambra State, on December 1. The two zones, at the visits, donated various gift items to each of the homes.
Speaking when she led the Awka Zone 2 members to the Nawfia Psychiatric Hospital, the Secretary, ELOVAS Foundation, Awka Zone 2, Lady Faith Nkechi Nonyelum, said they were on the visit to positively touch the lives of the psychologically impaired persons at the hospital, and share the love of God with them.
The hospital management, through a representative, received the ladies, and commended the Foundation for what the management described as its human face mission.
At Ozubulu, the group that was led by the Coordinator, ELOVAS Foundation, Nnewi Zone, Lady Anthonia Amaka Edokwe, was received by the Founder and Managing Director of RECDOT, Ozulubulu, Dame Rosemary Odunukwe.
The excellent ladies at the visit, shared the love of God with the inmates of the home, and prayed with them.
For her part, the Managing Director of RECDOT, Dame Odunukwe, extolled the Foundation for what she described as her unique show of love and goodwill, which was demonstrated through the charity visit and gifts donated. According to her, such visit, would remain green in the hearts of the management and the inmates of the home.
