The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District and PDP Senatorial Candidate for the zone, Uche Ekwunife, is set to commence a tour of the 109 political wards, plus other specially created wards in the senatorial district. A statement by her media office said Ekwunife would be embarking on the tour in continuation of her commitment to deliver her message of consolidation, as well as present her scorecard to constituents, reports Jude Atupulazi.
In the statement signed by Kingsley Ubani, media aide to Ekwunife, he observed that over the past few weeks, the federal lawmaker had left nothing to chance in her determination to interface with critical stakeholders across the 59 communities under her senatorial district.
‘Several communities, political, social and other interest groups, have endorsed the lawmaker based on her giant strides in legislative governance and representation.
‘Ekwunife’s re-election campaign which is anchored on her unparalleled record of performance has received vast and apolitical acceptability, with constituents literally singing “Ochili mma ga achi ozo”, which translates to “a leader who has performed well will be given opportunity to lead again”.
‘For the past three and half years, the resilient federal lawmaker has laboured tirelessly, lifting lives of constituents through her various empowerment and human capital development programmes,’ Ubani stated.
He said her principal, who, he said, had discharged the responsibilities of her office with unbeatable panache and exemplary dedication, had also attracted several infrastructural and developmental projects and programmes to communities under her jurisdiction.
‘Recall that in the second quarter of 2022, the PDP senatorial candidate convened an unprecedented 3rd Annual Stakeholders’ Briefing/Town Hall Meeting in line with her commitment to offer accountable and effective representation.
During the highly attended event, the celebrated lawmaker listed some of her achievements which are captured in her regularly updated Newsletter.
‘By visiting the various wards in the senatorial district, Ekwunife will be replicating her town hall event in the wards and communities of Anambra Central, thereby resonating her message of consolidation and speaking to the conscience of the electorate on why she remains the senatorial district’s best bet for continued purposeful representation,; Ubani elaborated.
He said that as Senator Ekwunife kicked off what she called her 22-day activity, her constituents were encouraged to base the decision on who would represent them by their antecedents and track records, noting that no one could give what they did not have.
