Ekwunife Carried Everybody Along, Uplifted C.W.O Amawbia Deanery – Fr Okafor

The chaplain of Catholic Women’s Organisation (C.W.O), Amawbia Deanery, Rev. Fr. Christian Okafor, has extolled the immediate past organiser of the deanery, Queen Lady Ngozi Ekwunife for what he described as her all-inclusive selfless leadership for the six years she served the deanery as an organiser.

Rev Fr. Okafor, who stated this at the handover ceremony of the outgone organiser to her successor, at St Matthew’s Catholic Church, Amawbia, Awka South L.G.A, Anambra State on February 2, 2019, noted that Queen Lady Ekwunife carried everybody along, and uplifted C.W.O, Amawbia Deanery.

According to Fr. Okafor, ‘God blessed Queen Lady Ekwunife with good leadership qualities, and she put it into good use for the benefits of Amawbia Deanery C.W.O. Ekwunife’s time, commitment and determination to succeed were commendable. The Annual Christmas Celebrations which was her brainchild for the deanery and the C.W.O conventions during her time were successful due to her great efforts and determination to succeed’

He appreciated Ekwunife for her goodwill and doggedness, urging the new organiser, Lady Tina Obiechina, to do her best and sustain the legacy of her predecessor, saying that such would improve the deanery the more.

Fr. Okafor, who thanked God for that the outgone organiser, prayed that her successor performs better than her, enjoined the C.W.O members at all levels to give the new organiser the necessary support, for the continuous growth of Amawbia Deanery C.W.O.

Earlier in her speech, Queen Lady Ekwunife advised against occasions were past leaders, after their tenure, assumed leadership positions indirectly, and by so doing prevented their successors from carrying out their duties. She noted that such was not healthy for any organization and society.

The former organiser appreciated the chaplain, Fr. Okafor; the dean, Amawbia Deanery, Rev Fr. Valentine Ofomata and the executive and members of C.W.O Amawbia Deanery as well her family for what she described as their special support and goodwill which she enjoyed throughout her tenure.
