The Anambra State chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has appealed to members who have left the party for one reason or the other to come back to join in moving the party forward.
Ejidike made this appeal last Wednesday at the state party secretariat while congratulating the party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Ahmed Bola Tinubu, who was declared winner of the presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Ejidike said it was time for the APC family to join hands in making the country work under a new leadership.
He congratulated Tinubu and his vice, Alhaji Kashim Shitima, describing their victory at the just concluded presidential poll as a divine mandate for a greater Nigeria.
The state APC chairman observed that Tinubu’s emergence as the president was highly commendable as, according to him, the team fought gallantly for the victory.
He also commended President Muhammadu Buhari for living up to his promise of bequeathing credible elections to the nation and therein restored electoral confidence in the populace.
‘You can imagine a sitting president losing his state to the opposition in a general election. It is curious. On behalf Anambra APC, I want to congratulate the president- elect and his vice, chairman of the party and all the National Working Committee, for working hard for success,’ he stated.
The party also used the opportunity to extol the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for giving Nigeria what he described as the freest and transparent election in the country, while thanking the various security operatives who secured the country, especially in Anambra.
