DOSAD Football Academy Kicks off:
At last, all is set for the kick off of DOSAD football camp for players who seek to pursue professional career in football Monday April 3, 2016 at St Anthony’s Catholic Church premises, Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State. As a build up to this full time camping, DOSAD had earlier organized two screening camps for intending players eighteen years and above in 2015. The screenings held at St Mary’s field Iftedunu, Dunukofia Local Government Area and St John Vocational and Technical Institute Neni, Anaocha Local Government Area, all of Anambra State. Over forty players are officially registered as pioneer players of DOSAD.
The academy is located at St Anthony’s premises Enugwu-Ukwu, thanks to the magnanimity of the parish council of the parish who agreed to house the academy till it gets its permanent camp at St Mary’s High School Ifitedunu premises ready. The sports-loving parish priest of St Anthony;s parish, Rev Fr Damian Ogwatta has been very instrumental to this progress alongside his vicar, Rev Fr Obianuo. He has constructed some sports facilities at the parish that will be very useful to the academy.
The academy will be using the sports fields at St Anthony’s Enugwu-Ukwu, St Mary’s Ifitedunu and St Michael’s Model School Nimo as training sites.
