Cleanliness: NYCN North Chapter Organizes 3-Day Operation Keep Idemili North Clean

In a bid to keep Idemili North clean and healthy for inhabitants, the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Idemili North Chapter, will on the 22nd-24th August, 2019, organize a 3-Day Impactful and Value Oriented Programme featuring Operation Dobe Idemili North Ocha (Keep Idemili North Clean).

The event, according to the Idemili North NYCN Coordinator, Comrade Echegwo Godwin Chibunna, would hold at Idemili North Local Government Area Headquarters, Ogidi, and would also feature talent Hunt Show and Film Audition; as well as talks on dangers inherent in cultism and cult related activities.

Comrade Echegwo said measures were in place to ensure the success of the event, noting that he had led his executive members on a courtesy visit to some dignitaries in Anambra State to intimate them of the forthcoming programme.

‘We have visited and extended invitations to so many stakeholders in the state. We solicited their support. We need financial and material support to enable us to have a decent outing. We are working assiduously towards the success of the 3-Day event.

‘Day One will be on Tuesday, 22nd August, 2019. On the first day, we are going to have ”Operation keep Idemili North Clean”, christened OKINC.

‘Day Two will be on Wednesday, 23rd August, 2019. We are going to have a Talent Hunt show and Film Audition in collaboration with Dominion Movie Production.

‘Day Three, Thursday, 24th August, 2019, will be about how to curb the menace of cultism in the area and inauguration of community based (wards) and Voluntary Youth Organization (VYO) leaders across towns that make up the Local Government Area,’ Comrade Echegwo concluded.

The NYCN, Idemili North Coordinator, announced that they would on the third day of the event, Thursday, 24th August, 2019, recognize those he described as distinguished individuals. We are going to honour and crown Dr Obiorah Okonkwo as Grand Patron; Comrade Abuchi Onwumelu of Fides Newspaper as a Patron; Dr. Obiorah Okonkwo will chair the occasion. We are going to present meritorious service awards to so many distinguished personalities,’ he stated.

Those he said that would receive the meritorious service awards included, the Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili North Local Government Area, Hon. Barr. Raph ASHA Nnabuife; Hon. Afam Mbanefo, Anambra State Commissioner for Youth and Creative Economy; Hon. Obi Nwankwo, Anambra Commissioner for Environment; Hon. Mrs. Ndidi Mezue, Commissioner for Women’s and Children’s Affairs; Nze Uche Nworah, MD/ CEO, ABS, CSP MARK J. IJARAFU.

He noted that Dr. Obiorah Okonkwo would be decorated as a Grand Patron, while Abuchi Onwumelu of Fides would be decorated as a Patron of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Idemili North Chapter.
