Chief Okwudili Ezenwankwo Bags Chieftaincy Award

An Aspirant for Orumba North and South for the House of Representatives, Chief Okwudili Ezenwankwo, from Orumba North Local Government, was on Saturday, 4th August, honoured with the chieftaincy title as Ikemba of Orumba North by the Council of Traditional Rulers of Orumba.

The title was given to him during the celebration of the 27-year Anniversary of Orumba North Local Government Area at Orumba North Local Government Area Headquarters, Ajalli.
Chief Ezenwankwo who is also the Chairman and CEO of Facomore Oil and Gas Limited, got the award together with: H.R.H Igwe Raphael Nwaogbo Offor, the Ide 2 of Omogho; Chief Uchenna Okonkwo-Okom; Chief Sir James Nwafor Okwuibe; and Pharm. Alphonsus Mmuogbo, the chairman and CEO Planet Pharmacy and Agric Co. LTD.

Speaking to Fides, Chief Ezenwankwo expressed gratitude to God and Orumba people for the award, especially the traditional rulers and the vigilantes for the security enjoyed in their various communities.

He thereafter promised to continue supporting his people, as well as redoubling efforts in taking Orumba North to the next level.

In his address of welcome, the Orumba North Local Government chairman, Hon. Chief Emeka Aforka, noted that the awardees were honoured in recognition of their outstanding and excellent representation in grassroots development and political mobilization of the community.

He urged all to help in bringing the development of the community to limelight.
Some other awardees include: Prof. Humprey Nwosu; Dr. Rose Nwankwo; Chief Edozie Obasi; Chief Chukwuemeka Egwuonwu; Chief Chris Ifeanyi Nwafor; and Chief Israel Ezue, among others.
