The Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) has appointed Rev. Fr Paschal-Paul Okeke as the new Supreme Chaplain of the Knights of St Mulumba, Nigeria. He was among many members of the clergy considered for the position.
By section 30 of the Order’s constitution, the Supreme Chaplain ranks second after the worthy Supreme Knight in order of precedence at the Supreme Council, being the highest organ of government of the order.
In his reaction, Father Okeke thanked all those who supported his candidature for the office.
He specifically thanked the Onitsha Metropolitan Grand Knight, Sir. Boniface Orakwe, and other members, for standing behind him.
He also thanked the CBCN for the appointment and promised to perform to the best of his ability.
