Catechist Emeritus, Pa Ekemezie, Buried in Abagana

…As Rev Fr. Patrick Nsionu, Family Members, Mourn Late Patriarch

The late Pa James-Mary Elias Ekemezie Nsionu was, February 3, 2023 laid to rest at his home in Ndiagu Orofia, Abagana in Njikoka Local Government Area, Anambra State. He was aged 78.

The burial ceremony began on Thursday, 2nd February, 2023, with a vigil Mass presided over by Rev Fr. Patrick Nsionu, the younger brother of the deceased, along with other priests.

The homilist, Rev Fr. Pat Chukwuma Amobi, described the deceased’s life as one well lived, with services rendered to the Church.

The funeral Mass held the next day being Friday at St Mark’s Catholic Parish, Abagana. The Mass was presided over by the Auxiliary Bishop of Onitsha Archdiocese; Most Rev. Chidi Denis Isizoh, who advised the faithful to always reflect on their day of departure from the world and by so doing, prepare themselves here on earth through the life we live.

This was even as he sympathized with the entire Nsionu family and prayed God to console them.
