The Catholic Bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese (CADEK), Most Rev Peter Ebere Okpaleke on Thursday, April 29, 2021, blessed the site of the proposed diocesean chancery secretariat building preparatory to commencement of work in no distant future. This is done also as a part of the event marking the One Year Anniversary Celebration of the Installation of His Lordship, Most Rev Peter Ebere Okpaleke as the first Bishop of CADEK.

The event was witnessed by members of CADEK One Year Anniversary Committee, members of the diocesean curia, Staffs and Pupils of St Joseph’s Nursery and Primary School, Ekwulobia among others. The bishop while appreciating the numerous free will donations from within the diocesean family and beyond, all geared towards the commencement and completion of the Chancery Secretariat Project, prayed the good Lord Jesus Christ that the dream of a modest chancery secretariat for the Catholic Diocese of Ekwulobia (CADEK) be realized sooner than later, Amen.

Realizing that the project is capital intensive and that it will gulp a large chunk of money, he appealed on all the faithful of the diocese both within and outside the diocese to contribute one and all their own quota towards the building of the many projects facing the young diocese. This donations could be in the form of taking up projects single-handedly, monthly or yearly commitments, A. M. F donations, personal or group donations et cetera even as he assured of transparency and judicious use of the available money for the good of the diocese in proclamation of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The blessing of the chancery site was followed immediately with the disengement meeting of the CADEK One Year Anniversary celebration committee which is also part of the ceremony marking one year installation of the pioneer bishop of CADEK, Most Rev Peter Ebere Okpaleke. To God be the Glory
