It was an atmosphere of joy, jubilation and fun-fare as the General Superintendent of Christ Holy Church International, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, consecrated and commissioned its magnificent cathedral in Awka the Anambra state capital.

Members of the church could not withhold their excitement as they danced to the glory of God for using a philanthropist to build the cathedral which they said was the first in the entire Awka.

Praise and worship songs rent the air as the General Superintendent offered prayers and supplications to God for his benevolence on humanity and the church. Bishop Okoh said they were dedicating the church to God Almighty having been built and completed few months ago.

He said it was always good to encourage good works, stressing that Christ Holy Church Awka is the first branch of the church in the area.

Although he expressed concern about the initial setbacks encountered in the course of building the edifice which he said included flooding, insecurity and a host of other hiccups but extended profound gratitude to the Anambra State Government for its rapid response in opening up water channels as well as tackling insecurity in the area.

He said it was a Herculean task due to the water log nature of the area but that soon after the foundation was achieved, the rest of the epistle was the gigantic church building being dedicated to God Almighty.

According to the man of God, Christ Holy Church International Awka was an eloquent testimony that nothing is impossible to achieve with God and perseverance stressing that he was highly elated that members of the congregation were in their numbers to celebrate the handiwork of God through a philanthropist who according to him saw the inevitable need to thank God for his abundant blessings through building the House of God. The Reverend gentleman however told the story of the son of one of the old women who worshipped in the church; how God raised him and when he eventually became rich, he decided to show appreciation to God for keeping faith to his promises and single-handedly built the cathedral describing the benefactor’s efforts as an act of faith.

Archbishop Okoh however implored other well-meaning Nigerians to endeavour to donate to the church of God through undertaking projects and humanitarian services geared towards uplifting humanity and the church of God.

He noted that no investments in the Lord’s vineyards are unrewarded. The Awka cathedral of Christ Holy Church International was built by Chief Sunday Ezenagu, Chairman and Chief Executive 3C Continental Cargo Company Lagos State Nigeria.
