Awka South LG Boss Lauds Obiano on Performance Unveils Awka Capital City Street Naming Project

The Transition Committee Chairman of Awka South Local Government Area, Anambra State, Hon Leo Nwuba, has described the 7 years of Governor Willie Obiano in office as laudable.

Nwuba who made the commendation during the unveiling ceremony of the Awka Capital City Street Naming Project which held last Wednesday, March 17, at the Awka South Local Government Secretariat, also commended Gov Obiano over his efforts in developing the state.

The Awka South TC Chair said that Obiano as the governor had breathed development and hope to the entire Anambra State.

He said, ‘Governor Obiano’s 7 years in office has showcased varieties of developmental projects such as housing, health care, security of life and property, employment, empowerment, completion of projects that were abandoned by previous governments.

‘Other achievements include prompt payment of salaries and pensions. Governor Obiano has shown himself to be a proactive, honest and a listening governor that understands the yearnings and aspirations of Anambra people and has since delivered on all his electioneering promises to the people of the state.’

He said the governor’s 7 years in office had also sent a clear message to the people of the state that he (Gov Obaino) came with a blueprint to develop, reconstruct and to transform the state

Reacting to the street naming project, Nwuba, noted that it was in line with Gov Obiano’s policy of making Awka a smart city where investors could easily locate on the google map.
