Awka South Council Area Begins Fumigation of Offices, Streets and Public Places as part of measures for the fight against COVID-19.

This was made visible when a firm known as Agukagu Global Resources LTD donated fumigation materials and for fumigating offices, streets, markets and other public places to check the spread of COVID-19 in the council area.

The donation which is in response to the Anambra Sate Government’s on corporate organizations, groups and well meaning individuals in the state to lend a hand in the fight against the deadly Coronavirus pandemic threatening the world with items like food, drugs and other humanitarian services to aid the fight against the virus.

The Awka South Local Government Boss, Mr. Leo Nwuba in company of some staff of the council thanked the donor for gesture which according to him showed solidarity with the present condition confronting the state and called on others to emulate Agukagu Global Resources LTD.

The Chief Executive Officer of the company Mr. Obinna Okoye, said that in line with the social responsibility to the state, the organization decided to embark on fumigation exercise as a way to assist the state in fighting the deadly Coronavirus pandemic in the state, especially now that most of the citizenry wee at home.

Mr. Okoye who noted that the materials and fumigation processes which, he said, ran into millions of Naira, could not be too much for a state with a visionary leadership and assured that the agency was committed to assisting the state in the fight against coronavirus pandemic in making the environment safe for the inhabitants.
