The Catholic Diocese of Awka, last Tuesday, December 3, opened a state-of-the-art restaurant known as Rest Point, at Archbishop A.K. Obiefuna Retreat, Pastoral and Conference Centre, Okpuno (ABAKOPACO), Awka South L.G.A, Anambra State.
The neatly built restaurant, situated on the ground floor of the hall of the conference centre, and managed by the management of the ABAKOPACO, offers well-prepared African and continental cuisines at affordable rates, from Monday to Saturday every week.
Declaring the place open, after blessing the edifice on Tuesday night, the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev Paulinus Ezeokafor, described the restaurant as a wonderful place for relaxation and enjoyable meals.

The Catholic prelate, who stressed the importance of food alongside water and shelter for every human being, prayed that the eatery would serve the purpose for which it was built. He commended the Director of the retreat centre, Rev Fr Polycarp Chimaobi Okoye, for such a worthwhile project which was completed in less than two months after the assumption of duty by the director.
A good number of those that graced the grand opening of the restaurant were given sumptuous treats of various foods and drinks by the management of the Rest Point Restaurant.
