Awka Diocese Opens a Business Centre

… A Dream Come true – Bishop Ezeokafor

Another feather was added by the Catholic Diocese of Awka, last Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at St Patrick’s Cathedral Awka, in the world of Information and Technology  as Priests and religious joined Bishop Paulinus Ezeokafor, the Chief Shepherd of Awka Diocese to bless the newly equipped business centre owned by the Diocese.

The business centre is to deliver services such as typing, lamination and photocopying of documents, Internet services, as well as POS services.  Bishop Ezeokafor mentioned that the establishment of the business centre is a dream come true for his part as he had nurtured such idea for so long.

This he said was to relieve the pressure of providing such services by the secretariat, which many at times becomes burden some to the office. According to the prelate, the business centre will not only  relieve his office of such burden but will also create an atmosphere for efficient services.

In an interview with Fides, the financial administrator of Awka Diocese, Rev Fr Paulinus Okonkwo disclosed that the business centre will not only  provide services that are technologically inclined but will also run a mini canteen where one can take a quick refreshment to refuel the body. Fr Okonkwo thereof made a call to the general public to protronise the newly opened business centre of the Diocese.
