Awka community has expressed happiness on the development strides of Governor Willie Obiano in the State within his eight years in office.
Speaking to our correspondent in a telephone interview, the traditional ruler of the Community, Obi Gibson Nwosu expressed profound gratitude to the Governor for changing the landscape of Awka the State Capital positively.
According to him, the inauguration of various legacy projects by Governor Willie Obiano in Anambra State including the International Convention Center, the upgrade of Awka City Stadium and the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport at Umueri among others are some of the legacy projects Ndi Anambra will not forget in a hurry.
Obi Nwosu maintained that the International Convention Center which was inaugurated in Awka on Wednesday by Governor Willie Obiano will no doubt attract both local and foreign investors to Anambra State thereby bringing Awka the State Capital more to limelight.
The traditional ruler while expressing optimism that the in-coming Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo will sustain all the legacies of the Obiano administration, prayed God to continue to guide and protect Governor Obiano and his wife, Dr. Ebelechukwu in their future endaevours.
He described various categories of award by the Anambra State government to various individuals who contributed to the development of Anambra State as one that will motivate others in developing Anambra State.
