The Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Anambra State Health Insurance Agency, Dr Simeon Onyemaechi, recently, at the ASHIA headquarters in Awka, interfaced with the Desk Officers of various ASHIA accredited health facilities.
The ASHIA boss during the meeting with the desk officers said that ASHIA enrollees were entitled to receive the maximum attention and respect accorded to other patients and should not be treated differently.
He announced the addition of new drugs to the tariff, some of which included Aceclofenac, Vasoprin coated tab, Metformin SR, Telmisartan, Pioglitazone, Torsemide, Mesoprostol, Indapamide, etc.
New, well-detailed banners which contain the list of all the benefits and packages, both the primary and secondary health care services covered by the health insurance scheme, were launched and distributed to the Desk Officers of various hospitals in order to inform the enrollees of their entitlements.
Dr Onyemaechi admonished the desk officers to be open-minded and attentive to the enrollees and concluded the meeting by addressing the issues which the HCP’s Desk Officers encountered on the end to end portal and assured them that it had fully been rectified.
