Ahead of the primaries of the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance in Anambra State, the House of Representatives hopeful for Aguata Federal Constituency, Engr Dom Okafor, has enjoined the delegates to be mindful of their responsibility to those they represent by choosing credible, experienced and tested candidates that will deliver democracy dividends to their people.

Speaking to Fides after picking his nomination form in Abuja from the APG national secretariat, Engr Okafor who expressed satisfaction with the progress of his aspiration so far, as well as the response of his constituents, said his advice to the delegates was borne out of the need for APGA to go to the main elections with her first eleven players who would win and help the governor in continuing with the good work he was doing in the state.

‘The delegates have the responsibility of choosing candidates who have integrity, experience, good track record and proven accomplishments. These are people that can stand their ground anywhere and make APGA and Ndi Anambra proud,’ Okafor noted.

Okafor, a Knight of St Mulumba, who restated his resolve to narrative and dynamics of Aguata politics if elected to represent them at the Green Chamber, thanked members of his support group for their steadfastness, commitment and devotion to the cause, noting that together, they would deliver on his promises.

He commended the APGA leadership on the smooth conduct of the issuance of nomination forms, noting that it was an indication that they were poised to discharge their duties creditably in this critical moment.

The Chairman/CEO of Jocaro Nig Ltd used the opportunity to congratulate Gov Willie Obiano for continuing to steer the ship of state in the direction as the state marked her 27 years of existence.

He noted that Obiano’s dynamic and visionary leadership had contrived to elevate the state to an enviable position of one of the very few states were the machinery of government still went full throttle.

‘We are not surprised because we already knew the stuff he was made of before coming to Anambra State. The least we can do is to continue to give him maximum support. As a member of the federal legislature, I will mobilize full support for him and we will work in tandem with the state government to bring smiles to the faces of our people,’ Okafor assured.
