APGA Peace, Reconciliation National Outreach Committee Meets with APGA Ward Chairmen

By Abuchi Onwumelu

Still resolute about resolving all Issues inimical to the progress of the Party, the Senator Victor Umeh led APGA Peace/Reconciliation and National Outreach Committee recently met with the Chairmen of the 326 Wards in Anambra State led by the Chairman of All Chairmen and Chairman of Igbariam Ward, Anambra East, Mr Nchee Chinedu Linus, and the Secretary of all Chairmen who doubles as the Chairman of Awka Ward 1, Awka South LGA, Mr Anthony Nwosu.

In a remark, the Committee Chairman, Senator Victor Umeh, commended the Ward Chairmen represented by the Chairman of Chairmen in each of the 21 Local Government Areas of Anambra State for opting to approach the Committee with their views about certain developments in the party, noting that the 21/21 victory of APGA in the 2017 governorship election would not have been achieved without the concerted efforts of the party stalwarts at the various ward levels manned by the Ward Chairmen.

He beckoned on everyone to eschew all grievances and join hands in working for the party’s victory in the forthcoming November 6 Anambra governorship election, stressing that Gov Willie Obiano had made some outstanding achievements, which, he said, were evidence of good performances of APGA governments and substantive enough for a successful campaign cum victory for APGA.

Having listened to their submissions, Senator Umeh assured them that all the concerns raised would be looked into by the Committee with a view to addressing them.

He appealed to them to eschew all grievances and focus squarely on ensuring that APGA won in their respective wards in the coming election, which, according to him, was crucial for the survival of the party.

On the other hand, the spokesman of the group and Chairman of Fegge Ward, Onitsha South LGA, Sir Peter Madueke, thanked the Committee for its ‘sagacious and unalloyed disposition in resolving all issues brought to it’. He prayed for God’s blessings on them and for APGA’s victory in the forthcoming election.

Sir Madueke noted that despite what he termed certain unfortunate issues confronting the party presently, APGA still remained the best political party to be entrusted with the governance of Anambra State.

He said that Gov Obiano’s laudable achievements were enormous reason for ndị Anambra to continue to vote in APGA governors in the state.

He further emphasized that the meeting was a morale booster and that they would return to their various local governments and relay the resolutions of the meeting to all the wards they represented to ensure everyone was on same page and one mindset with a view to achieving a more resounding victory for APGA in the election.

Other members of the Committee present at the meeting were the former Deputy Governor of Anambra State and Committee Secretary, Chief Emeka Sibudu; the Chairman of APGA, Anambra State Chapter, Chief Sir Norbert Obi; APGA BoT members; Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka; Chief Barr. (Mrs) Uju Okeke and Rt. Hon. Anayo Nnebe.
