Speaking to the press shortly after the election, Barr Chukwuma said he would solidify the existing bond among APGA faithful and reunite the aggrieved members for the unity of the party as one family.
He pledged that his regime would examine the past general elections and use the likely findings to mould ideas and strategies on how to win future elections.

In an interview with newsmen, the Transition Committee Chairman of Awka South LGA, Hon Anagor ThankGod Akachukwu, adjudged the election as peaceful and transparent and charged the elected members to prioritize collective interest and objectives of the APGA at all levels.
Hon Akachukwu, who stressed that APGA remained the number one party in the state, urged the elected members to ensure that they safeguarded and sustained the leading position of the party in the LGA in particular, as the armour-bearers of the Awka South APGA.
He expressed joy and appreciation to the Awka South People for what he described as their unflinching support and cooperation to the state Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, whom, he said, knew the way and the road to making the state a prosperous and livable homeland for the people of the state.
