ANSPOLY Rector Buries Mum

The Umuanugwo Village, Ogidi, in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, was a beehive of activities recently as the Rector of Anambra State Polytechnic (ANSPOLY), Mgbakwu, Dr. (Mrs.) Nneka Mefoh, buried her mother, Mrs Agnes Ifeoma Onyechi, who died on 16 June, 2018 at the aged of 74.

Top government functionaries, ANSPOLY Community, friends and well wishers were on ground to commiserate with the former Provost of Anambra State College of Agriculture, Mgbakwu. The burial Service was held at the deceased’s husband’s compound at Umuanugwo Village, Ogidi.

In his sermon, the officiating Minister, Reverend Eli Nwokeoma, extolled the deceased for bequeathing to her children sound moral and quality education, even as he described her as a committed Christian.

Rev. Nwokeoma charged parents to train their children in the fear God to enable them to be useful to themselves, family, Church and society at large, noting that what mattered in the end was making heaven after their earthly sojourn.

The cleric urged the deceased’s children to take solace in the fact that their late mum lived a good and fulfilling life while on earth.

Appreciating all those who came to sympathize with them at their moment of grief, the Rector’s uncle, Sir Nick Onyechi, said they were highly overwhelmed with the turnout of friends and well-wishers, as well as their show of love and support.

ANSPOLY community delivered a special condolence Message to the Rector.

In an interview, the Public Relations Officer of the Polytechnic, Comrade Okagbue Chukwuanu Sunday, Anipr, described the deceased as a caring and loving mother, noting that she would be sorely missed by all.
