Anambra State Police Operatives, Thursday, arrested two men and two women; Okechukwu Ogoejiofor aged 36; Nonso Nwizu aged 34; Esther Nwafor lfeanyichukwu aged 21 and Obianuju Nduba aged 20, at Ajakpani Village, Umuanya in Oyi LGA, for alleged conspiracy, threats and stealing.
In a press release made available to Fides, the state police image maker, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, who signed it, said preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects used the social media to lure their unsuspecting male victim into fake love/friendship affairs. They thereafter took the victim to a room where Obianuju Nduba engaged the victim in foreplay.
‘The other members of the gang forced themselves into the room and took nude pictures/videos of the victim which they used to force the victims into transferring huge sums of money to them, with the threat of publishing same on social media, if the victim failed to comply. They also dispossessed the individual of his personal belongings.
‘The case shall be charged to court once investigations are concluded,’ Ikenga stated.
