Anambra Monarchs Happy With Pace Of Development In The State

More prominent citizens of Anambra State have continued to bare their minds on the development of the state after twenty-seven years.

Speaking to our correspondent at Atani on the journey so far, the Traditional Ruler of Atani in Ogbaru Local Government Area, Igwe Augustine Azuka Ngoddy maintained that the massive development recorded in the state since its creation on twenty-seventh August 1991 including good road network, functional schools, hospitals and other amenities are clear indications that the founding fathers of the state meant well for the citizenry.

Igwe Ngoddy commended Governor Willie Obiano for restoring people’s confidence in governance through purposeful and result oriented governance.

He urged Ndi Anambra to continue with their support and prayers to the present administration for enhanced development of the state.

The Monarch called on Ndi Anambra to see the development of the State as a collective responsibility.

Igwe Ngoddy said the state has a bright future under the present APGA-led administration and noted that at twenty-seven, the state had a good story to tell.

Similarly, the traditional Ruler of Ufuma in Orumba North Local Government Area, Igwe Chika S. Uchime listed some of the achievements of the present government to include infrastructure development, advancement in the Education sector, Agricultural revolution and security of life and property.

He said that purposeful administration in Anambra has brought about influx of investors into the state, which has led to direct and indirect jobs for unemployed youths.

Igwe Uchime emphasised that the impact of the APGA-led administration had occasioned the transformation of the communities.

The Traditional Ruler urged the Governor to do some palliative work on some bad portions of the state roads.

Cathedral Administrator, Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, Awka , Reverend Father Matthew Attansey, in his reaction confirmed that Anambra had moved forward in the areas of security and education.

Reverend Father Attansey, however, appealed to Governor Obiano to ensure the completion of ongoing road projects in Awka North Council Area for easy accessibility in the area.
