Anambra Monarch Graces Carnival in Anambra Camp

The traditional ruler of one of the communities hosting the Nnamdi Azikiwe Unity Permanent Orientation Camp, Umuawulu/Mbaukwu, Awka South LGA, Anambra State, His Majesty, Igwe Engr. (Dr) Joel Egwuonwu (JP) Ezeudo II graced the Anambra NYSC Camp during the  cultural carnival held at the camp recently.

His Majesty, Ezeudo, while offering prayers over kolanut presented by the State  Coordinator blessed the Corps Members and wished them success in within and outside the orientation camp. He thereafter sat back to watch the display of diverse cultures by the various platoons.

In  his  entourage  were  Dr Emma Ezenwaji, Onowu of Umuawulu and Chief Okey Igbeze, the Ugonaya na Ogidi.

Dr. Emma Ezenwaji, Onowu of Umuawulu, hinted  the corps members on what to expect when they are posted to different communities in the State  and also encouraged them to enjoy the  rich culture and delicacies of the good people of Anambra.

He encouraged those who would find love in the state not to hesitate to marry from here.

Earlier, Mrs Yetunde Baderinwa, State Coordinator, NYSC Anambra State, appreciated the efforts of the Royal Father and the community for providing a conducive atmosphere for the Scheme to carry out orientation exercises, especially on issues bordering on  security, light, and in educating Corps Members on the community’s language and culture.

At the end of the event, No. 2 Platoon won the grand prize for a wonderful display of the Gbagyi culture of Nigeria. While other prizes were awarded to wining platoons by the Coordinator for competitions that took place  in the course of the orientation  exercise.
