Anambra Deputy Speaker, Agbodike, Fetes Constituents Distributes Food, Other Items

The Deputy Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Pascal Agbodike, has distributed food items worth millions of Naira to his constituents to cushion the effects of the sit at home order on them.

The event which took place at his compound in Mbosi, Ihiala Local Government Area, was witnessed by the traditional rulers, Chairmen of the electoral wards in his constituency and community woman leaders in the area.
Items distributed by Dr Agbodike who is also the member representing Ihiala II State Constituency included bags of rice, garri, cartons of noodles, tubers of yam, buckets with taps among others.

Hon. Agbodike engaged women’s leaders of the eleven wards in Ihiala II Constituency to deliver the items to the most vulnerable in the constituency.
Addressing the people, Dr. Agbodike explained that the gesture was designed to curb hunger and make the downtrodden in his constituency to happily stay at home as directed by the State Government.

He urged the women’s leaders to deliver the food items to the most vulnerable in the constituency regardless of party affiliation and commended Governor Willie Obiano for the economic stimulus package he gave to Ndi Anambra who were seventy years and above.
In his remark, the Traditional Ruler of Mbosi,Dr. Greg Nwokorah who described Dr Agbodike as an epitome of quality representation called on his subjects to adhere strictly to the precautionary measures instituted by the Anambra State Government to contend the spread of Corona-virus.

For his part, the Traditional Ruler of Isseke, Igwe Emmanuel Nnabuife noted that Dr Agbodike had met the most pressing needs of the downtrodden in his constituency, even as he commended Governor Willie Obiano for the measures he had taken towards containing COVID-19.

In an interview, the Women’s Leader Okija Ward V who spoke on behalf of others, Mrs Felicia Ohanyiri commended Dr Agbodike for his benevolence and assured that the food items will get to the most vulnerable in the constituency.
