The Anambra State Police Commissioner, Mr Aderemi Adeoye, has visited the family of a police man killed in Enugwu-Ukwu recently in a vehicle accident.
The police man, ASP Anthony Ogbodo, was knocked down by a shuttle driver while riding a motorcycle. He died after he was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The Anambra State Police Command’s spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, who disclosed the visit, said Adeoye visited and prayed with the family.
Ikenga said: ‘CP Adeoye prayed that God should give them the fortitude to bear the loss and assured them that justice would be speedily dispensed on the tragic demise.’
Adeoye had in an interview with journalists a week ago stated that part of the success of his administration of the Command was boosting the morale of his men.
He had added that packages for demised policemen had been improved, while also commending the Inspector General of Police for ensuring the welfare of policemen.
