The national executive members of the Anambra Mandate for Good Governance (AMFGG) and the Board of Trustees (BoT) members of the group, have visited the member representing Njikoka II State Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon Dr Jude Akpua, to congratulate him on his emergence as a lawmaker, as well as the deputy majority Leader of the 8th Assembly.
Hon Akpua, before his emergence as a lawmaker, was the Coordinator of Anambra Mandate for Good Governance (AMFGG), in Njikoka Local Government Area Headquarters in Anambra State.
Speaking during the recent visit the National President of AMFGG, Chief Emmanuel Ogugua and the Chairman Board of Trustees (BoT), Chief Cyprian Okereke, praised the legislator for his doggedness and dexterity, describing him as the people’s lawmaker.
The duo, while congratulating Hon Akpua, asked him to continue to make laws and move motions that would bring about developmental change in society, especially in his immediate constituency, saying that they would continue to identify with him at all times.
Speaking on what the group stood for, Hon Ogugua said it was formed years ago to push for good governance and ensure that there was a continuity of people-oriented policies and programmes that would impact directly on the people, especially at the grassroots levels.
‘We worked and made sure that Governor Willie Obiano was re-elected for second term in office and also ensured that there was a smooth transition from Chief Willie Obiano to the present Governor, Prof Charles Soludo. We are actually working and contributing towards the progress of the state. We are fully in support of Governor Chukwuma Soludo. He’s doing well and we are solidly behind him.
Chief Ogugua explained that AMFGG would continue to move from strength to strength, saying that they would not relent in their task of commending a working government and would not fail to criticize constructively when necessary.
