AIG Olofu Meets NRCS Team, Assures Maximum Security

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Zone 13 Police Headquarters, Ukpo, Anambra state, AIG Olofu Tony Adejoh, psc, last Wednesday received a team of the Nigerian Red Cross Society International.

According to the Zonal Police Public Relations Officers (ZPPRO), SP Ihunwo Josephine K said that the team visited in order to established synergy with the Nigeria Police Force on security situation, security assessment and flood ligament in Anambra State.

The AIG who represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the Zonal Criminal Investigations Department, DCP Umar Mohammed, and the management team warmly and professionally received the team led by Engr. Kingsley Okoye.

The NRCS team notified the Police that the targeted areas for their operations were Anambra East, Anambra West, and Ogbaru Local Government Areas respectively which they said were devastated by flood.

The group also pledged to support the flood victims which affected about five hundred affected households, with the sum of N30,000.00 each, and drilling of water boreholes will be carried out in the affected communities.

Responding the Assistant Inspector-General of Police assured the team of maximum support in the area of security and equally guaranteed that the Anambra State Commissioner of Police would engage with the team for further on-the-ground security emplacements towards the achievement of their laudable efforts.
