Aguata Deputy Chairman Dies in Active Service

…LG Boss, Others Pay Tribute

The remains of the late Deputy Transition Chairman of Aguata L.G.A, Hon. Mrs. Amaka Patricia Ifemezie (Nee Nwafor), were on Friday, August 24, 2018, interred to rest, at her country home, Umueze, Village, Uga, Aguata L.G.A, Anambra State, after a commendation service by St Christopher’s Anglican Church, Uga.

Late Hon Ifezie, who died at 62 years on June 17, 2018 as a result of road accident she earlier had, was eulogized by her family, colleagues and all as an icon of peace, a hardworking and truthful woman.

Earlier during the valedictory session in her honout at the Council Chambers, Aguata Local Government Secretariat, the Transition Chairman of Aguata L.G.A, Hon Eche Ezeibe in his tribute, eulogised late Hon. Amaka Ifemezie as a great woman of faith, who championed the course of truth in all her endeavours, as well as a devoted, honest, transparent, hardworking and virtuous woman.

Pointing out that death was inevitable and a must for every soul, Hon Ezeibe, who said he worked closely with the deceased, said her death inflicted so mmuch pain on all, saying that late Hon. Amaka Ifemezie, was a gift to motherhood.

Paying his tribute, the secretary of Aguata Transition Committee, Hon. Marcel Ezeobieri, who spoke on behalf of the committee members, eulogised the deceased as a God fearing woman, who was dedicated to her duty. He charged all to in their life time strive for ideal Christian lives, which they would be remembered for, after their sojourn on earth.

In their various speeches, the Head of Local Government Administration, Aguata, Dr. Tony Anadi; the former Executive Chairman of Aguata L.G. Council, Hon. Chukwuma Umeoji and the APGA Chairman of Aguata, Hon. Obiora John Ezechukwu, eulogised late Hon. Ifemezie as a woman with that inner call to serve the people, and she had no limitations to her services.

Late Hon. Amaka Ifemezie fondly known as Amaka Limca and Ejighi-Eji, Ebiri Ebiri, was survived by three daughters, two sons, six grandchildren and other numerous relations.
