Mr Ayodele Adegoke, NYSC Osun State Coordinator, has called on camp officials to imbibe team spirit as the 2021 Batch A orientation course kick starts on Wednesday, March 10 2021.
Adegoke gave the charge at the maiden meeting with camp officials at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede on Tuesday, March 9 2021.
The State Coordinator appreciated the giant steps taken by Brig. Gen Shuaibu Ibrahim, NYSC Director-General, in ensuring the orientation holds nationwide.
He reminded officials of the need to adhere strictly to the COVID-19 protocols throughout the duration of the orientation exercise. He enjoined them to model good examples for the 1100 prospective corps members deployed to the State and those dislodged from Lagos State.
‘Prospective corps members should be warmly welcomed to the state and be corrected in love should they err, as corporal punishment as a way of instilling discipline, is not allowed on camp’ Adegoke added
He harped on the need to uphold integrity and commitment to duty and warned against extortion of corps members as the scheme has zero tolerance for extortion and corruption.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr Musa Abdulrasheed, camp director, 2021 Batch A, stream 1 canvassed for maximum cooperation and support of all camp officials in order to record success.
Mrs Jummai Adebola, Resident Officer, and other principal officers called on camp officials to instill discipline in the corps members by living an exemplary life of discipline themselves as action speak louder than words.
Prior to the meeting, all camp officials and camp marketers were made to undergo the mandatory COVID-19 Rapid Diagnostic Test, and only those who tested negative were allowed residence on camp.
