The Federal Ministry of Youths and Sports has officially inducted about 50 Batch ‘B’ stream 1 corps members into the National peer group educator program on Financial Inclusion.
The induction took place last Tuesday at the Multipurpose Hall in Awgu Orientation camp in Enugu state, after a rigorous training session on keys to financial freedom.
Mrs Glory Ironkwe, Head Trainer of the program, noted that the corps members have been equipped with the necessary tools to make the right financial decisions in life.
Ironkwe also commended the attitudes of the trainees during the training, adding that they were dedicated and committed to the course.
She further appealed to the NYSC body in Enugu state to encourage the inductees as they go on to their various Primary Places of Assignment to carry on their duties as financial educators.
The principal youth development officer also urged the corps members to engage in sensitization of financial education in their various communities.
The training was in collaboration with the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), National Pension Commission (PENCOM) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
