…Fixes Dedication for April 29, 2019

Pope John Paul(PJP) 11 Major Seminary, Okpuno, Awka South LGA, Anambra State has organized her 2018 annual Harvest and Bazaar for the purpose of raising fund for the completion of the seminary’s chapel.
Fides gathered that the fund to be raised from the bazaar sales would be channeled totally to the Divine Mercy Chapel of the Seminary to ensure that the chapel was dedicated in its scheduled date.
Speaking at the occasion, the rector of the Seminary, Rev. Fr. Benjamin Ewelu, said there is urgent need for the completion of the chapel so as to provide an ideal place of God’s worship for the 15 years old Onitsha Ecclesiastical Provincial Seminary. He appreciated all who had been of support to the seminary’s chapel project and disclosed what the seminarians stand to gain following the dedication of the chapel.
For his part, the Chairman of the Occasion, Senator Victor Umeh representing Anambra Central Senatorial district, expressed optimism that the bazaar would yield the required fund for the completion of the chapel for its dedication in April 29, 2019. He commended the management of the seminary for the effective utilization of funds provided by good spirited individuals alongside himself in past bazaars. He noted that the chapel building wouldn’t have attained its present height if the provided funds weren’t utilized effectively.
Senator Umeh who donated handsomely for the speedy completion of the chapel project tasked others to lend helping hands to the seminary family.
The bazaar sales which commenced after the harvest thanksgiving mass led by the auxiliary bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Awka, Most Rev. Jonas Benson Okoye, saw a huge turnout of members including friends from other parishes who came to support the seminary Family. The harvest thanksgiving was an opportunity for the Seminarians to donate in support of the chapel project and to appreciate Gods faithfulness in their lives.
